Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Transfer from Arusha to Tarangire National Park

You will have an early morning breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, where you spent the night, and after that, you will be picked up by our professional company driver guide and begin your journey to Tarangire National Park. Upon arrival at Tarangire National Park, you will check into a lodge and have lunch. After lunch, you will proceed on an afternoon game drive. Tarangire is famous for its large elephant population, iconic baobab trees, and seasonal Tarangire River, which attracts a wide variety of wildlife.

During the game drive, you may encounter animals like elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, lions, leopards, and a variety of bird species. Later in the evening, the guide will drive you back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Early morning game to transfer to Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, you will enjoy a morning game drive in Tarangire National Park when wildlife is most active. This is an excellent time to spot predators returning from a night hunt and herbivores grazing in the cool morning hours.

After the game drive, you will depart Tarangire and head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, you will have views of the Great Rift Valley and lush highlands. Upon arrival, you will check into a lodge and settle in. The rest of the afternoon will be spent at leisure; in the evening, you will have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Early morning game drive and transfer to Lake Manyara National Park

After an early breakfast, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a morning game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, home to a large concentration of wildlife, making it one of the best places in Africa to see animals in a short time. During the game drive, you may spot lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, and flamingos, and if you are lucky enough, you may also spot the rare black rhinoceros.

After the game drive, you will head back to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will check out and drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Upon arrival, you will check into a lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Early morning game and departure to Arusha

You will have an early morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park after breakfast. You will first go for a briefing at the park headquarters. The briefing will be about the guidelines and safety rules to follow while on a morning game drive.

During the game drive, you may spot elephants, giraffes, hippos, baboons, blue monkeys, and a wide variety of birds, including flamingos and pelicans, depending on the season. The park offers beautiful photographic opportunities with views of the Rift Valley escarpment. After the game drive, you will leave the park and begin your journey back to Arusha, arriving in the afternoon at a hotel of your choice.
