Day 1: Pick up from Arusha to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After an early breakfast in Arusha, you will begin your journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive takes about 4 to 5 hours, passing through the town of Karatu.

Upon arrival, you will enjoy lunch at your lodge or camp near the crater rim, with panoramic views stretching across the highlands. In the afternoon, you may enjoy a nature walk around the lodge and take in the fresh mountain air while watching wildlife such as buffalo and antelope that often roam nearby. As the sun sets, the crater area becomes quiet and peaceful, offering a magical atmosphere. After the exciting and magical experience, you will head back to the lodge. Dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge.

Day 2: Morning game drive and return to Arusha

After an early breakfast, you will descend 600 metres into the Ngorongoro Crater for a memorable game drive. This natural enclosure supports a high density of animals, making game viewing excellent throughout the year. During the morning game drive, you may have the chance to see elephants, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, buffalo, zebras and wildebeest. Apart from the wildlife, you will also have views of other attractions, like the stunning and eye-catching landscapes.

You will have a picnic lunch at a specified location inside the crater as you view wildlife and eye-catching scenery. After lunch, the game drive will continue as you ascend back from the crater in the afternoon. You will begin your journey back to Arusha, arriving in the evening. This will mark the end of the 2 days Ngorongoro wildlife escape.
